Robinson Cano Drives In Two As Mets Roll
5 years agoWith more excellent starting pitching, the New York Mets managed just four runs Thursday afternoon against the Chicago White Sox, but it was enough. The offensive player of the game was veteran Robinson Cano, who served as the designated hitter. Cano smacked a solo home run in the second inning, quickly putting the Mets ahead. He later drilled a double in the sixth, doubling the slim lead. Eventually, New York added another two runs before emerging with a 4-0 victory. The 36-year-old is coming off his best hitting month since April and the Mets are red-hot, now winners of seven consecutive games.
