Austin Nola Keeps Producing With Two Extra-Base Hits
5 years agoSeattle Mariners infielder Austin Nola logged a double and a triple in the team’s 8-1 victory over the Tigers Saturday. He finished the day going 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored, upping his slash line to a shiny .328/.379/.564 in 29 games played. The 29-year-old is having an excellent MLB debut season after years lingering in the Miami Marlins system. He has three homers on the campaign with 11 runs and nine RBI receiving starts all around the infield with the exception of shortstop. Nola is finding everyday playing time on the rebuilding M’s club and is worth a look in AL-only and deeper mixed leagues. His run of success isn’t considerably long, but it’s hard to argue his results so far, and he could provide sneaky value down the stretch run.
