5 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner (knee) is out of the lineup Tuesday for the third consecutive game due to a left knee issue. There has been no news as of yet regarding when Gardner could potentially return. Mike Tauchman will man left field and bat ninth Tuesday against Minnesota right-hander Kyle Gibson. Tauchman has been hitting the ball well of late, collecting eight hits, eight runs, five RBI and two home runs over his last 15 at-bats, but he has a less-than-stellar .210/.307/.430 slash line against right-handed pitching on the season.--Joseph Magazzinich
