5 years agoForward Jakub Vrana inked a two-year, $6.7 million contract ($3.35 mil AAV) to remain with the Washington Capitals on Tuesday. The 23-year-old forward was formerly a restricted free-agent and is fresh off an impressive second full NHL season that included career highs in goals (24), assists (23), points (47), plus/minus (20) and shots on goal (161). The former first-round draft pick seems to have earned his place as a fixture in Washington's top-six forward group moving forward and given his high ceiling, Vrana can be seen as an enticing sleeper in upcoming fantasy drafts. --Chase Davis - RotoBaller
