5 years agoThe New York Mets placed starter Zack Wheeler on the IL Monday afternoon with a fatigued shoulder, an ominous sign for the current MLB trade market. Wheeler's IL move is retroactive to three days ago, with his earliest possible return date being July 23rd. The 29-year-old's injury is particularly concerning considering he just got extended rest due to the All-Star break. His name has been floated around frequently as a possible trading chip with the deadline nearing.
