BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 6% of Yahoo! leagues
ANALYSIS: The only reason I can think that Diamondbacks shortstop Nick Ahmed is only owned in 6% of leagues is that he's boring. His .262/.311/.429 slash line admittedly doesn't jump off the page, but he does have nine home runs, six stolen bases, 46 runs scored and 39 RBI, numbers that make him nearly a top-250 player so far in 2019.
His hard hit rate and exit velocity are below average, but Ahmed is barreling the baseball at a 5.9% clip, the highest of his career. And playing in Arizona and with the hyper-inflated baseball this season, it's entirely possible that Ahmed reaches 20 round-trippers by the end of the year. Tack on 15 steals and a batting average hovering around .260 and you have yourself a perfectly useful middle infielder in deeper leagues.
Ahmed probably won't play himself onto 12-team rosters unless there are multiple injuries in the middle infield, but he's worth snagging in 14+ team leagues wherever he is available.
