5 years agoHouston Astros catcher Robinson Chirinos will try and regain his footing at the plate when the team kicks off the second half of the season on Thursday against the Rangers. Chirinos started off the month of June white-hot, popping six home runs in the first week. But he has fallen off the map since then, slashing only .152/.286/.174 over his last 46 at-bats with 19 strikeouts. It has been a surprisingly effective offensive season for the veteran up to this point but his arrow is pointing in the wrong direction heading into the second half.--Joey C - RotoBaller
