MRI Shows No Tear For Stephen Piscotty
5 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Stephen Piscotty (knee) had an MRI that showed no tear in his right knee. Piscotty was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday after injuring his knee sliding into second on Saturday. Manager Bob Melvin suggested a timetable of a month but he did not want to guarantee anything. On Tuesday, Mark Canha is playing right field and batting fifth against the Diamondbacks. Canha is hitting .236 with 11 home runs and 21 RBI this year, but it is possible that he will split some time with Chad Pinder in Piscotty's absence. Canha has some pop in his bat but doesn't serve as more than a dart throw in a solid DFS matchup.
