Mats Zuccarello Inks Five-Year Deal With Minnesota
6 years agoThe Minnesota Wild got their man on Monday, as they signed free-agent right wing Mats Zuccarello (Stars) to a five-year, $30 million contract. Zuccarello had a career-high 19:51 of ice time per game last season, and he posted 12 goals and 40 points across 48 games splitting time between the New York Rangers and Stars last season. He was limited to just two regular-season games after his acquisition at the trade deadline after suffering a broken arm in his debut with Dallas. However, he is healthy, and was able to play in the postseason for the Stars. He is a nice addition and a solid mid-round fantasy selection in most pools.

Mats Zuccarello Activated From Injured Reserve
1 year agoMinnesota Wild right wing Mats Zuccarello (upper body) appears to be ready to return to the lineup, as the team has activated him from Injured Reserve ahead of Saturday's contest against Columbus. The veteran winger hasn't played since Dec. 16, sitting out nine games. Despite missing multiple weeks, Zuccarello has remained at the top of the Wild's assist's table with 22 helpers and he's added six goals across the season to average a point per game through 28 outings. His return puts Nic Petan's spot in the top six under a threat.
