Ish Smith Agrees To Deal With Washington
5 years agoWith John Wall expected to miss most of the season and Tomas Satoransky heading to Chicago, the Washington Wizards had a hole to fill at point guard. They’ll fill it with free agent guard Ish Smith, who played 56 games off the bench for the Pistons last year, averaging 8.9 points per game and 3.6 assists while shooting just 32.6 percent from three. Smith’s an unexciting option and even in a bigger role, he’s not expected to do too much statistically. The last time Smith was the starter for most of a season was the 2015-2016 campaign, when he averaged 12.6 points, 6.5 assists, and 4.0 rebounds. Those are decent numbers and make Smith someone worth a late round fantasy pick, but his shooting struggles mean that he’ll hurt you in certain fantasy builds.
