Terry Rozier Intends To Sign With Hornets
5 years agoThe Charlotte Hornets and free agent point guard Terry Rozier have reportedly agreed to a three-year deal that will pay Rozier $58 million. Rozier, who had been Boston’s backup point guard, will have huge shoes to fill in Charlotte as he replaces the team’s long time star, Kemba Walker. Rozier’s been a little disappointing, especially last season when he shot just 38.7 percent from the field on 8.4 attempts per game, averaging 9.0 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per contest. There are serious questions about if Rozier will be able to perform in an expanded role, and no one should expect anything close to the kind of production that Walker gave Charlotte. The best bet is to assume Rozier ups his scoring numbers up into the mid-teens while still struggling with his efficiency and not dishing out as many assists as you want from your starting point guard. His fantasy value is going up, but he’ll be a huge risk at whatever price his ADP settles in at.
