Spencer Turnbull Leaves Game With Shoulder Fatigue
5 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Spencer Turnbull (shoulder) was lifted after two innings on Thursday and was replaced by reliever Nick Ramirez. The injury has been described as shoulder fatigue and an MRI revealed no structural damage, which is of course good news for Turnbull going forward. In this game, Turnbull allowed one hit, one walk and one earned run while striking out three in two innings. He has a solid 3.31 ERA on the year, but that hasn't prevented him from racking up eight losses with the lackluster Tigers offense supporting him. He should be on your radar if you're in AL-only or 14+ team leagues, especially when he has favorable matchups, but in more shallow leagues, he can be left on waivers. Assuming his shoulder is fine, his next start will be a road game against the White Sox on Wednesday.
