Kevin Kiermaier Leaves Game With Leg Tightness
5 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Kevin Kiermaier (leg) was removed from the second inning of Thursday's contest with lower leg tightness. The injury occurred when Kiermaier dove for a ball in the first inning. Austin Meadows entered the game to replace him. Hopefully it's nothing major for Kiermaier, who is known for taking risks with his body in the field. The 29-year-old veteran has had a solid bounce-back campaign so far in 2019, slashing .244/.293/.429 with nine home runs and 13 stolen bases in 71 games.
