5 years agoColorado Rockies star shortstop Trevor Story has been sidelined since June 20 with a sprained thumb, but manager Bud Black told reporters that he expects Story back by the Astros series in a few days. Story hit for the first time on Wednesday, and Black said that he was expecting Story back for the final two series before the All-Star Break, which is excellent news. There may be a bit of missing power in Story's swing when he returns due to the nature of the injury, but that remains to be seen. Story was on a torrid pace when he got injured, already racking up 17 home runs and 12 stolen bases this season while scoring 65 runs. If he can come back close to those numbers, Story could easily put up the best season of his career.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
