James Paxton Serves Up Three Home Runs Wednesday
5 years agoIn their final game before heading to London for the weekend, the New York Yankees didn't get the desired performance out of starter James Paxton Wednesday afternoon. The Canadian native was not sharp, allowing a three-run home run to the third batter he faced. In the second inning he surrendered a two-run blast, before allowing one more solo shot in the fifth after his offense had stormed back to tie the score. The 30-year-old exited after 4 1/3 innings of work, having allowed his most home runs in a start this season. He's expected to make his next start back in New York when the Yankees return from England to face the Mets.
