Kole Calhoun Slugging .483 At Home
Kole Calhoun heads into Tuesday's action slugging .500 with three extra-base hits over his last seven games. It has been a rollercoaster season offensively for the veteran slugger and is hitting only .211 in the month of June. Calhoun does have 14 doubles and 16 home runs this season but has followed up hot streaks with frigid runs at the plate. Calhoun, however, has played well at home this season, slugging .483 with seven doubles, eight home runs and 20 runs batted in through 34 games. Calhoun's fantasy value is reserved for deep formats and AL-only leagues currently.

Kole Calhoun Released By The Yankees
Kole Calhoun was released on Saturday. Calhoun opted out of his minor-league contract on June 1 and has officially been released on June 3 as the Yankees chose not to add him to their active roster. The veteran 35-year-old should resurface on a new team in the coming days as you can never have enough outfield depth.

Kole Calhoun Opting Out Of Deal With Yankees
Kole Calhoun is exercising a June 1 opt-out clause with the New York Yankees and will become a free agent unless the team adds him to their active MLB roster within 72 hours, according to a source. Calhoun has changed his swing this year and currently has a .963 OPS at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, so he's likely to draw interest from other teams if he becomes a free agent again. It's unlikely the Yankees add the 35-year-old to their major-league roster. In 125 games with the Texas Rangers in 2022, Calhoun hit just .196 with 14 doubles, a triple, 12 home runs, 49 RBI, three stolen bases and 36 runs scored in 424 plate appearances. He's a long shot to return any fantasy value in 2023, let alone get another shot in the big leagues with another club.

Yankees Sign Kole Calhoun To Minor-League Deal
Kole Calhoun to a minor-league deal. Calhoun signed with the Seattle Mariners in the offseason but became a free agent when he didn't make the Opening Day roster out of spring training. The 35-year-old veteran outfielder played in 125 games with the Texas Rangers last year and slashed a weak .196/.257/.330 with a .587 OPS, 12 home runs, 49 RBI, three stolen bases and 36 runs scored in 424 plate appearances. He can still offer some value with his glove in the outfield, but he doesn't have much to offer offensively these days and will strictly serve as organizational outfield depth with Giancarlo Stanton (hamstring) on the injured list.

Kole Calhoun Opts Out Of Minor-League Deal
Kole Calhoun opted out of his minor-league deal with the team on Sunday and is now a free agent, according to a source. Calhoun wasn't going to make the club's Opening Day roster, so he'll now hope to latch on with another team for the 2023 season. In 12 Cactus League games with the M's, Calhoun went 8-for-32 (.250) with a double, two RBI, two runs scored and six strikeouts in 35 plate appearances. In 125 games in 2022 with the Texas Rangers, the 35-year-old veteran slashed just .196/.257/.330 with a .587 OPS, 12 home runs, 49 RBI and 36 runs scored in 424 plate appearances. Calhoun might join another team on a minor-league deal, but he should be ignored in all fantasy leagues.
