Yordan Alvarez Punishing Right-Handed Pitching
5 years agoHouston Astros first baseman Yordan Alvarez will try and stay hot at the play when the team takes on Masahiro Tanaka and the Yankees Saturday night. Alvarez has burst on the scene over the past two weeks since being called up, slashing .308/.413/.744 through his first 39 at-bats. Almost all of that damage has been against right-handed pitching, going 10-for-30 with two doubles and four home runs against righties. All of this leads to Alvarez having a favorable matchup against the right-hander Tanaka in addition to hitting in a band-box like Yankees Stadium. Alvarez has plenty of sleeper value in DFS tournaments for Saturday night.
