Rafael Devers Could Return Saturday
5 years agoBoston Red Sox manager Alex Cora said that the team will most likely keep third baseman Rafael Devers (hamstring) out of the lineup on Friday, but he could be back on Saturday after leaving the game in the fifth inning on Wednesday with right hamstring tightness. The team has the day off on Thursday. The 22-year-old served two stints on the injured list last year with left hamstring issues, so the Red Sox won't rush him back. The good news is that Devers should avoid the injured list. He's hitting a solid .307/.360/.503 with 12 home runs, 54 runs, 47 RBI and eight steals in 296 at-bats. Devers contributes across all categories and is in a loaded Boston lineup. He should be owned everywhere.
