BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 22% of Yahoo! leagues
ANALYSIS: After an incredibly ugly first half of the 2018 season, Angels outfielder Kole Calhoun has quietly rebounded to post some nice numbers over the last calendar year. So far in 2019 he has 14 home runs and three steals, along with a career-high 11.6% walk rate and a 21.3% strikeout rate, a near three percent drop from last season.
Digging deeper, Calhoun boasts some very nice statcast numbers, including a 43.8% hard hit rate (75th percentile) and a 12.5% barrel rate, the highest mark of his career. His .238 batting average is disappointing, but his .255 xBA and xWOBA of .359 both paint a more positive picture for the veteran outfielder.
A 25/10 season isn't out of the question for Calhoun, although even something like 20/8 would make him fantasy relevant in deeper formats, particularly if he can get that batting average hovering around .250. He's worth an add in 12+ team leagues for those who have room.
