6 years agoLos Angeles Angels third baseman Tommy La Stella will start and hit eighth Friday against Blake Snell and the Rays. The move coincides with the return of David Fletcher to the lineup and the fact a left-handed pitcher is on the mound. La Stella is slashing .273/.333/.439 against left-handed pitching this season as opposed to posting a .316/.372/.570 line against righties. La Stella currently leads the AL in All-Star voting at the second base position thanks to a .892 OPS with 15 home runs and 39 runs batted in. La Stella is still a solid play for Friday and is 8-for-20 (.400) hitting from the eight-spot this season.--Joey C - RotoBaller
