Wade Davis Gets First Save Since Return
6 years agoColorado Rockies closer Wade Davis took care of the Cubs in the ninth inning on Monday to knock out his first save since returning from the Injured List. The oblique injury that sidelined Davis for a couple weeks seems to be fully healed, and Davis was back up at 93 MPH with his fastball on Monday. It hasn't been an utterly dominant year by Davis compared to some in the past, but outside of when he suffered the injury, he's only allowed one earned run all season. It looks like he should be good moving forward, but it might not be a bad idea to handcuff him with Scott Oberg if an owner has room on their team.
