FanDuel MLB DFS Lineup Picks (6/2/19): Daily Fantasy Baseball Advice

This afternoon's main slate starts at 1:05pm eastern and covers seven games. The all day slate starts at the same time and includes all 15 matchups on this full Sunday of baseball.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 6/2/2019. The picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Max Scherzer: WAS at CIN ($11,000)

Scherzer's standards are so high that a 3.26 ERA almost seems concerning for him. He's still having an absurdly elite season, with a 31.8% K-rate to a 5.3% walk-rate, good for a 2.33 FIP. He should be considered the top starter on the slate against a weak Reds lineup that has just a .306 wOBA versus right-handed pitching. In cash games, Scherzer is a near must-play at starting pitcher, and he's worth the investment in GPPs if you're willing to dive for cheap bats.

Julio Teheran: ATL vs DET ($8,600)

Today's pitching slate is mighty weak, so there aren't many cheap starters who are viable options. Teheran, though, is a strong play as he takes on the Tigers, who have the second-lowest wOBA in baseball with their .282 mark against righties. Detroit's 26.4% K-rate versus right-handers is also third-highest in the majors, so Teheran has strikeout appeal here. Teheran has been virtually untouchable over the last month with a 0.98 ERA, and his hot streak should continue today.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Jose Abreu: 1B, CWS vs CLE ($3,800)

We're only two days into June and Abreu already has 50 RBI, which is tied for third highest among all batters. He's one of the most reliable producers of counting stats as the White Sox three-hitter, which makes him as attractive of a daily play you could ask for. Abreu is putting up big power numbers and can take advantage of an inexperienced starter in Cleveland's Zach Plesac.

Nicky Lopez: 2B, KAN at TEX ($2,800)

Lopez has pretty awful since being called up, although his extremely low 14.9% strikeout-rate provides a silver lining. He's still leading off for the Royals, which makes him a worthwhile play against opposing starter Adrian Sampson. Sampson has a 6.33 Deserved Run Average, so the Royals lineup should have a big day against him.

Vladmir Guerrero Jr.: 3B, TOR at COL ($3,900)

Vladdy gets one last crack in Coors Field, the league's top offensive environment. He's batting .294 with an .882 OPS over the last two weeks and gets to face Rockies starter Antonio Senzatela, owner of an unsightly 5.81 ERA. Guerrero hasn't seen his price tag this high all year, but he can easily return value today.

Jonathan Villar: SS, BAL vs. SF ($3,400)

Villar's power/speed combo is one of the best in fantasy, as he's got seven homers with 11 steals this season. Jeff Samardzija is a regression candidate to take advantage of, as he's still got a weak 4.92 FIP with a 1.60 HR/9.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Michael Conforto: OF, NYM at ARI ($3,500)

Conforto is slumping right now, but that makes him a good buy low candidate with a falling price. Conforto has an .897 OPS this year and is in a nice spot for RBI batting cleanup for the Mets. He faces Merrill Kelly, who has a 4.83 ERA this year.

Mike Yastrzemski: OF, SF at BAL ($3,000)

The Orioles are a fantastic stack option as they get to face the garbage Orioles pitching staff in their hitter-friendly park. Yastrzemski and his teammates, including Brandon Belt and Joe Panik, are all outstanding values at their price. I wouldn't trust Yaz as a season-long option, but he can excel in this matchup out of the two-hole.
