Martin Perez Roughed Up In Loss
6 years agoMinnesota Twins left-hander Martin Perez struggled in a 14-3 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday. Perez gave up six runs in 2 2/3 innings of work, striking out three and walking two. He took the loss to fall to 7-2 on the season. Before the poor outing, Perez had been enjoying a resurgence this season, posting a 3.71 ERA, 1.40 WHIP, and 59 strikeouts in 60 2/3 innings of work. Look for Perez to bounce back in his next start, which comes against a weak Cleveland Indians lineup.
