Adam Frazier Goes Hitless After Getting Dropped In Lineup
6 years agoPittsburgh Pirates second baseman Adam Frazier has struggled from the leadoff spot this season, so manager Clint Hurdle decided to change things around. It didn't help Frazier in his first game batting eighth, as he went 0-for-3 while leaving three on base in Thursday's 11-5 loss to the Brewers. He is hitting just .233 with an on-base percentage of .265 over the last 15 games, as he has drawn only three walks during this stretch. With Kevin Newman swinging the bat surprisingly well and Frazier scuffling, it is unlikely that the 27-year-old will move back to the top of the lineup anytime soon, which will hurt his fantasy value in deeper leagues.
