Atlanta Braves starter Kevin Gausman allowed eight runs on eight hits through a single inning of work during a 14-4 loss against the Washington Nationals on Wednesday night. He walked two batters while striking out one. It was the worst start of the season for the 28-year-old, who now owns a 2-4 record on the season to go along with a 5.56 ERA, 1.38 WHIP, and 57/23 K/BB rate. Gausman has sprinkled in fantastic outings with some complete stinkers throughout the season. He is a mid-tier fantasy starter that will take on the Pittsburgh Pirates in his next expected appearance.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller

Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Kevin Gausman had a forgettable day on Sunday, yielding six earned runs in just two-and-two-thirds innings. The veteran threw 71 pitches in all, striking out two and walking a whopping five batters during the short outing. After being removed from the game, the 34-year-old was ejected for arguing with the umpire. The ugly outing leaves the 2x All-Star with a 4.50 ERA (3.89 FIP) over six starts with an 11:28 BB:K in 34 IP. His next start lines up with Cleveland next weekend, and at least a home start in Toronto should help him get back on track.--Jarod Rupp - RotoBaller

Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Kevin Gausman continued his strong start to the season in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Braves. Gausman pitched six innings, allowing two runs on six hits (including two solo home runs) and no walks with six strikeouts. The 34-year-old has looked great after a relatively disappointing 2024, going 2-1 with three quality starts, a 2.49 ERA, a 0.71 WHIP, and a 7.11 K/9 rate in four starts and 25 1/3 IP. The strikeout numbers are still down, but fantasy managers will likely take that tradeoff for the stellar ERA and WHIP. Gausman will face a decent matchup in his next scheduled start, which will be at the Astros.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller

Toronto Blue Jays right-hander Kevin Gausman deserved more than a no-decision in Wednesday's 2-1 extra-innings win over the division-rival Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. Gausman was fantastic, allowing just an unearned run on four hits while walking none and striking out 10 in eight innings pitched to lower his ERA on the young season to 2.33. After allowing an unearned run in the first inning on a sacrifice fly, the 34-year-old veteran retired 21 of the final 23 hitters he faced in a dominant performance in his third start of the 2025 season. Gausman now has quality starts in two of his first three outings of the year after coming into Wednesday's start having allowed five earned runs on five hits while walking three and striking out only four in his first 11 1/3 frames. This was vintage Gausman, and fantasy managers will hope he can repeat it in his next scheduled outing against the struggling Braves.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Kevin Gausman logged six innings and allowed two earned runs and three hits en route to earning the victory over the Baltimore Orioles on Friday evening. He struck out four and served up one free pass. He did not allow a baserunner in the first two innings. His first blemish came in the third, when Jackson Holliday hit a solo shot. Later in the fourth, Gausman would run into some more trouble as he served up a leadoff walk to Adley Rutschman, who would eventually score on a Tyler O'Neill sacrifice fly. Over his final two innings, he would only allow one hit to conclude his outing. This was a strong start for Gausman as he struggled to find consistency throughout the 2024 season, as he posted a modest 3.85 ERA and a 1.22 WHIP. He will look to have another quality start on Wednesday when he faces the Nationals.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
