BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 17% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Journeyman infielder Logan Forsythe started five straight games for the Rangers this past week. His numbers weren’t anything particularly noteworthy during the stretch, but over the course of the season, he’s slashing .294/.408/.468 with 11 doubles. That .468 SLG% is well above his career .377 SLG%. He’s been slotted either in the heart or at the top of the Rangers’ lineup in all his recent starts, which is encouraging for his run scoring and RBI potential.
With Elvis Andrus back, Forsythe will see fewer starts in the middle infield but could continue to earn time at 1B and 3B, where the competition for now is just Ronald Guzman and Asdrubal Cabrera. With a .378 BABIP, expect his batting average to go down, but if you’re hurting at infield in 12+ team leagues and could use a guy who can fill in at multiple positions, Forsythe is certainly worth consideration. In more shallow leagues, you’re fine to leave him on waivers.
