Ryan O'Hearn Breaks Slump With Homer
6 years agoKansas City Royals first baseman Ryan O'Hearn has been floundering at the plate, but one of his two hits on Sunday was a solo home run that will hopefully act as a slump buster. O'Hearn's homer just barely snuck over the wall in the left field corner, but it was still a good sign because the lefty went with an outside pitch and drove it enough to put it that deep into the ballpark. The homer snapped an 0-for-15 stretch for the youngster, and he entered Sunday's game mired in a 3-for-34 quagmire. O'Hearn's got quite a bit of potential, especially his patience at the plate, but a .210 BABIP hasn't done him any favors. Hopefully, this can be the start of an upswing.
