Friday Night A Mixed Bag For Bryce Harper
6 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Bryce Harper went 1-for-4 with two RBI and two strikeouts Friday night in Milwaukee. Harper drove in the Phillies first run of the game with a sacrifice fly and added an RBI double in the fifth inning. Unfortunately for Harper he also struck out twice in the game bringing his strikeout rate on the season to an astronomical 30.1 percent. That strikeout rate combined with his 11.1 percent infield-fly-ball rate means over 41 percent of his plate appearances are ending in automatic outs. Fantasy owners can only hope Harper turns it around soon. The Phillies are scheduled to face a right-handed pitcher in their next five games so hopefully, the lefty-swinging Harper can get something going in those games.
