Juan Lagares Clears Bases In Victory
6 years agoThe New York Mets won their third consecutive game against the Washington Nationals Wednesday night led by a pair of big hits. The first came in the eighth after trailing since the first inning, and it came with the bases loaded. Outfielder Juan Lagares drilled a three-run double, his only hit of the game but a major one. While three men had already been on base, Lagares' hit kept the train moving as the Mets would eventually win, 6-1. While couple of players were lost to injury on Wednesday, a third consecutive win continues the club moving in the right direction.
