David Price Reinstated From Injured List, To Start Monday
6 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher David Price (elbow) was activated from the 10-day injured list Monday and will start against the Toronto Blue Jays, announces the team. Price has been out since May 2 with left elbow tendinitis but did not make any rehab appearances. Manager Alex Cora has hinted that Price could be limited in the outing, thus acting as a rehab assignment before being fully prepared for his next start in the coming weekend. The 33-year-old is 1-2 with a 3.75 ERA and a 42:10 K:BB through six starts, before his injury. His 13.6 SwStr% would be a career-high mark if he continues his early-season pace, but even if that is in-attainable, the lefty should provide plenty of value on a Boston team looking to make a surge.
