Giancarlo Stanton Headed To Tampa For Rehab Assignment
6 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Stanton (biceps) has been placed in Tampa on a rehab assignment beginning on Monday. The slugger has not played since March 31 after straining his left biceps muscle. Last season, his first in the Bronx, Stanton clubbed 38 home runs and drove in 100 runs while playing in 158 games. Stanton beginning his rehab stint is a welcome sign for his fantasy owners because it shows he is ready for game action after missing nearly two months already. This progression in his recovery should allow for Stanton to return to the Yankees lineup sometime in the next week.
