Houston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman hit his 14th home run of the season in the team's 5-1 win over the Tigers on Wednesday. Bregman is slugging .750 in the month of May and for the season is now slashing .270/.378/.579 with 14 home runs and 34 runs batted in. Boston Red Sox third baseman Alex Bregman went 3-for-5 with a home run in Tuesday's 10-2 win over the Toronto Blue Jays. His other two hits were singles, and he scored three runs. The 31-year-old put the Red Sox up 2-0 in the top of the first inning when he sent a Bowden Francis splitter over the left-field wall at 103.7 MPH. His other two hits came off the bat at over 100 MPH, too, as he's enjoying a stellar start to his career in Boston. Bregman is slashing a superb .331/.401/.570 with 11 doubles, six homers, 23 RBI, and 22 runs scored. He seems to have taken a slight step back in his strikeout percentage (18.2%), but his batted ball metrics have been exceptional. In addition to upping his average exit velocity and hard-hit rate, Bregman has recorded the hardest-hit ball of his career in the early going (109.6 MPH).--Alex Ciulla

Boston Red Sox third baseman Alex Bregman had a productive day in a 4-3 loss to the Seattle Mariners on Thursday. Bregman went 2-for-3 with a homer, a walk, and two RBI but it wasn't quite enough in the close loss to Seattle. The veteran infielder hit a solo homer off Seattle starter Bryan Woo in the first inning and later added an RBI single in the third inning. Bregman is off to a hot start for the Red Sox this season, hitting .320 with five homers, 17 runs, 21 RBI, and one steal. He will look to stay hot as the Red Sox begin a weekend series against the Cleveland Guardians.--Matt T - RotoBaller

Boston Red Sox third baseman Alex Bregman has been activated from the paternity list prior to Friday's game against the Chicago White Sox. In a corresponding move, the Red Sox have designated right-handed pitcher Michael Fulmer. Bregman is slated to cover the hot corner and bat third on Friday evening. The 31-year-old was held out of the starting nine for just one contest. Over his last six games, Bregman has enjoyed an impressive offensive surge, as he has posted a .391/.462/.739 line with two doubles and two long balls. Under the hood, he has generated a solid .343 xwOBA while posting an elite 13.6 percent whiff rate. Bregman is worth a look in DFS facing Chicago southpaw Martin Perez as he looks to stay hot at the plate.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

The Boston Red Sox placed third baseman Alex Bregman on the paternity list on Wednesday and recalled infielder/outfielder Nick Sogard from Triple-A Worcester in a corresponding move. Bregman put on a show in Tuesday's win over the division-rival Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday, going 5-for-5 with two home runs, a double, four RBI and two runs scored, but now he'll miss the series finale in Tampa and potentially the entire weekend series against the Chicago White Sox. The 31-year-old two-time All-Star has so far enjoyed his time in Beantown, as he's slashing .321/.365/.564 with a .929 OPS, four home runs, a league-high seven doubles, a league-high 25 hits, 16 RBI, a stolen base and 10 runs scored in a league-high 78 at-bats. With Bregman out of the lineup on Thursday against the Rays, Romy Gonzalez will fill in at the hot corner and bat fifth against right-hander Zack Littell.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
