Season Could Be Over For Miguel Andujar
6 years agoNew York Yankees third basemen Miguel Andujar (shoulder) could wind up missing the remainder of the season. According to Yankees manager Aaron Boone, Andujar’s injury hasn’t got worse, but it doesn’t seem to have progressed. A decision whether to elect for surgery or rehab will be made in the next day. Surgery would surely end Andujar’s season. The runner-up AL Rookie of the Year was struggling out of the gate and upon his return. There should be some more clarity on the issue tomorrow. This would be a disappointing end to Andujar's season and would make him an overlooked hitter in 2020. If he does rest up and return this season, don't expect anything too impressive, as Andujar's shoulder injury is known to sap power.
