6 years agoColorado Rockies top prospect Brendan Rodgers continued his pummeling of Triple-A pitching on Monday by drilling a pair of solo homers in Fresno. The 22-year-old has been destroying pitching so far this season to the tune of a 1.060 OPS with nine long balls. He's cut his strikeout rate down to 15.5%, he's walking nearly 10% of the time, and he's racked up 18 extra-base hits in just 34 games so far. Unfortunately, he stills plays for an organization that is loathe to bring up their young stars, so his timetable for a call-up is murky at best.
