John Means Earns Fifth Win Of Season Sunday
6 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher John Means improved to 5-3 in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Angels. Means pitched six innings, allowing a single run on four hits (including a solo home run) and three walks with four strikeouts. The 26-year-old has been a surprise bright spot on the O's this season and now has a 2.33 ERA and 1.01 WHIP with 33 strikeouts in 38 2/3 IP. Means is only 29% owned and is worth a look in deeper leagues. He is slated to face a favorable matchup in his next start against the Indians on the road.
