Trent Thornton Only Lasts Two Innings In Loss To Twins
6 years agoToronto Blue Jays starter Trent Thornton allowed five runs on seven hits through two innings of work during an 8-1 annihilation at the hands of the Minnesota Twins. He struck out a single batter while walking two. Thornton had allowed one run across 12 combined innings in his previous two starts, so this result was a disappointment. The 25-year-old now owns an 0-4 record on the season to go along with a 5.06 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, and 39/16 K/BB rate. At best, Thornton is a streaming option when he is facing mediocre competition.
