Manny Machado Starts Month With A Homer
6 years agoSan Diego Padres shortstop Manny Machado popped a solo homer Wednesday against the Atlanta Braves, his only hit in four at-bats and fifth long ball of the season. Machado missed another opportunity by striking out with the bases loaded in the eighth inning and is staring at a mediocre .236/.323/.391 slash line. The 26-year-old is seemingly pressing on his new club, striking out at a career-high 26 percent clip with poor supporting expected stats. Despite the slow start, his All-Star track record suggests he’ll eventually find his groove. Machado truthers could find this as an opportunity to buy low.
