6 years agoThe Colorado Rockies haven't made a formal announcement, but the writing is on the wall for second baseman Garrett Hampson. Daniel Murphy returned from the injured list on April 24 and since then, Hampson has started one game. His competition at second base, Ryan McMahon, has started four. Hampson was a popular sleeper before the season due to his speed upside, but it looks like he won't be playing enough to be worthy of a roster spot in the vast majority of leagues. Hampson can likely be dropped for now, though an injury would likely lead to some more playing time, so owners should keep an eye on the health of the Rockies infield.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
