FanDuel DFS Pitchers
Rich Hill - P, LAD vs. PIT ($8,600)
Rich Hill is perpetually on and off the injured list and will be making his season debut this afternoon against the Pirates. Hill is effective when he's able to stay on the mound, as he's coming off a season with a 27.4% K-rate and a 3.66 ERA. The 39-year-old gets a dream matchup against the Pirates, who are the worst team in all of baseball against left-handed pitching. Not only is their .263 wOBA the worst in the league, but their 30.3% strikeout-rate is the highest. He's my favorite starter on the slate at this price.
Erik Swanson - P, SEA vs TEX ($6,600)
If you're looking to go real cheap at starting pitcher, Swanson is an option to consider. The Rangers are a tough lineup, but facing them in Seattle instead of in their hitter-friendly home park makes a considerable difference. Swanson is a bit of a dart throw, but he should come at low ownership so he works well as a contrarian play.
FanDuel DFS Infielders
Anthony Rizzo - 1B, CHC at ARI ($3,800)
Rizzo is off to a sluggish start, but his profile suggests that he should bounce back to his usual performance - he's getting killed by a .200 BABIP and is actually walking at a career high 14.2%. He went 3-for-5 with a home run on Saturday and is in a fantastic spot for runs and RBI batting third for the Cubs.
Whit Merrifield - 2B, KC vs LAA ($4,200)
Merrifield has been one of the best second basemen in fantasy this year with four homers, five steals, and a .302 average. As the Royals leadoff man, he will get to maximize his number of plate appearances against Matt Harvey, owner of a miserable 8.03 ERA.
Josh Donaldson - 3B, ATL vs COL ($4,000)
Donaldson has been raking over the last two weeks, batting .327 with a 1.105 OPS and four home runs. He's dominated lefties throughout his career and gets to face a weak one in Tyler Anderson, who has a 12.00 ERA and a 2.25 HR/9.
Fernando Tatis Jr. - SS, SDP at WAS ($3,300)
Tatis is at a shockingly low price for the way he's played this year, as he's been an elite fantasy player with six homers, five steals, and a 138 wRC+. His power/speed combo out of the leadoff spot makes him an enticing GPP play. He can also be used as part of a Padres stack against Jeremy Hellickson, with cheap teammates like Wil Myers and Franmil Reyes.
FanDuel DFS Outfielders
Joc Pederson - OF, LAD vs PIT ($3,800)
Pirates starter Trevor Williams likely has some regression on the way, as he's running a 4.60 SIERA with just a 16.8% K-rate. The loaded Dodgers lineup will be quick to correct that, and Pederson will have lots of run scoring opportunities as the leadoff hitter. Pederson has been out of his mind, with a 163 wRC+ and 10 dingers.
Nelson Cruz - OF, MIN vs. BAL ($3,900)
The Twins have been mercilessly pounding the Orioles pitching staff, and they get one last crack today. O's starter Dylan Bundy has a 2.70 HR/9 and Cruz will see plenty of RBI chances out of Minnesota's three-hole.
