Franmil Reyes Smashes A Pair of Homers
6 years agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Franmil Reyes powered his team to victory Tuesday, going 2-for-4 with two homers against the Seattle Mariners. Reyes blasted a two-run job in the second inning then later launched a solo bomb to help ice the game in the sixth. It’s been a frustrating start for Reyes, who entered the game hitting .200, but he is 10th in the league in barrels per plate appearance (13 percent) and 13th in expected weighted on-base average (.437). The big night raises his slash to .219/.288/.531 with six long balls and 18 runs-plus-RBI. The results should gradually reflect the quality at-bats, so fantasy owners should remain optimistic.
