BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Leagues
OWNED IN: 5% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Danny Santana was forced into the starting role when Rougned Odor hit the IL with a knee sprain. In the last 14 days, he has been serviceable with a homer, four stolen bases, and a .290 batting average. Thus far, he has career-bests in strikeout (18.2%) and contact rates (81.2%). Santana has benefitted from batting second in the Rangers lineup. However, he won’t have the benefit of playing in Globe Life Park this week. The Rangers will be on the road the entire week in Oakland and Seattle. He does have a full schedule with six games remaining on the schedule against four right-handers and two left-handed pitchers. Even without a hitter-friendly venue, Santana is positioned to do well with a career .265 batting average against righties (.310 against them in 2019). Santana is best used for those that can stream daily; he might lose playing time this weekend as Odor is scheduled to return to the lineup.
