Homer Bailey Baffles The Yankees
6 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Homer Bailey was dominant on Thursday night as he threw six quiet innings in the Bronx. Bailey only allowed three hits and one earned run while striking out six as the Royals comfortably won over the Yanks. This makes two straight solid outings for Bailey after he was blown up by the Mariners, and it gives the impression that there might actually be something working with Bailey. He's racked up 27 strikeouts in just 23 innings pitched so far, his left-on-base percentage of just 67 percent implies that there's actually some room for his numbers to get better, and his good performances have come against Cleveland and New York. Bailey will take a turn against the first-place Rays next week to see if he can keep the good times rolling.
