6 years agoDealing with elbow inflammation, San Francisco Giants first baseman Tyler Austin will be monitored Wednesday for a possible start. According to manager Bruce Bochy, the 27-year-old will take part in batting practice Wednesday before a decision is made. The inflammation was diagnosed over the weekend, with test results coming back clean and an injured list stint being avoided. If he starts at first, Brandon Belt could shift to the outfield Wednesday for a matchup against the Washington Nationals.--RDelgado
