Blake Snell Plays Catch Wednesday
6 years agoFollowing a freak accident that resulted in a broken toe and subsequent injured list stint, Tampa Bay Rays ace Blake Snell had a positive step on Wednesday. The reigning American League Cy Young winner played catch at a distance of 90 feet, according to manager Kevin Cash. The 26-year-old dropped an 80-pound granite pole on his foot, resulting in the injury. At the time of his injury, he was 2-1 with a 2.16 ERA with a league-leading 36 strikeouts.
