Nick Senzel Plays In Extended Spring Game
6 years agoCincinnati Reds prospect Nick Senzel (ankle) played in an extended spring training game on Monday, going three innings and getting two plate appearances. The 23-year-old suffered a sprained ankle earlier this year. Senzel is expected to play five innings on Wednesday as he's gradually prepped for lengthier activity. The center fielder/third baseman is ranked as the No. 1 prospect in the Cincinnati farm system, according to MLB Pipeline. Ultimately, the Reds envision him as their starting center fielder before this season comes to an end.
