FanDuel, DraftKings NHL DFS Lineup Picks (4/14/19): Daily Fantasy Hockey

We get a three-game main slate for DraftKings and FanDuel on Sunday evening. You should be looking at teams in higher over-under games.

Remember, when picking around for plays, an over/under of 6 dictates offense, but an over/under of 5 or sometimes 5.5 tilts towards the goalies. Watch to see what the Colorado and Calgary game ends up at.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 4/14/19. DFS Forwards to Consider

Tomas Hertl - C, SJS vs VGK (FD - $6,900, DK - $6,100)

Hertl pushed back on Friday night with a goal along with four or five quality scoring chances. Granted, three a night was more than enough as far as chances. As the scene shifts to Vegas, San Jose will not have the luxury of last line change. Unfortunately, that was something Peter DeBoer was relying upon. Hertl and that second line of San Jose should generate opportunities at a rate which is above the others for San Jose.

Artemi Panarin - W, CBJ vs TAM (FD - $8,000, DK - $5,800)

Lost in the Columbus tide is the fact that Panarin quietly has 14 points in his last ten games. If he is not scoring, Panarin is creating plenty of chances while averaging two shots a contest. His DraftKings price alone is worth playing on Sunday night. Tampa Bay is still favored on Sunday -- albeit a slight favorite. That will push ownership slowly towards Columbus players or at least it should. The top Columbus line should be a bigger play than it will be.

DFS Defenders to Consider 

Dustin Byfuglien - D, WPG vs STL (FD - $5,700, DK - $5,300)

Byfuglien keeps piling on the points via the assist route. That is three in two games for the defenseman along with an increasing floor with more blocked shots along with three shots a game. Both assists on Friday night came via the power play where Winnipeg has been dangerous in the series so far. The Byfuglien point shot has been very effective so far in getting to the net and generating rebound opportunities. Eventually, one of those shots is going to find its way into the net.

David Savard - D, CBJ vs TAM (FD - $4,100, DK - $3,800)

Savard's lower price makes him more attractive than Seth Jones or Zach Werenski on Sunday. If Savard is not chipping in offensively, he can casually block 4-6 shots some nights. Either way, he has hit or exceeded value in five straight games. Seven points in the last nine games is an added bonus for the Columbus player who has been unheralded mostly in this recent run of games. The bottom line is saving money here allows one to spend up in other ways.

DFS Goalies to Consider

Marc-Andre Fleury - G,  (FD - $8,200, DK - $8,000)

Fleury had a bit of an adventure on Friday night against San Jose for a few minutes but quickly righted the ship. The result became a 34 save effort that felt like something more. Also, San Jose has no problem generating high shot totals. No one would be surprised to see them approach 35 shots even on the road in Game 3. The one main difference in the series this year is San Jose's ability to control the puck near the scoring areas. This is making Fleury work a lot harder for longer spurts. The scary part for San Jose is Fleury turned up the heat stopping the final 25 shots he faced in Game 2. Unfortunately for San Jose, that may have been just what the Vegas goaltender needed for confidence.
