Joey Wendle Could Start Rehab Soon
6 years agoThe Tampa Bay Rays received some encouraging news about infielder Joey Wendle (hamstring) on Friday afternoon. The 28-year-old, currently on the injured list with a left hamstring strain, is progressing towards a return, with two options possible. He could reportedly either start a short rehab assignment or take part in extended spring training. The Rays are hoping Wendle could return for next weekend against the Boston Red Sox at the Trop. This season, he's appeared in four games, going hitless in seven plate appearances.
