Hunter Dozier Homers For Second Straight Day
6 years agoKansas City Royals third baseman Hunter Dozier recorded the first three-hit game of his career on Thursday, as he also smacked a solo shot against the Mariners. It was Dozier's third home run of the season and his second solo homer in two days. He's also knocked five hits in his last 17 at-bats, and he seems to be on a bit of a roll. His BABIP is actually still horrifically low at just .148 this season, so expect his batting average to easily climb above the Mendoza Line before it's all said and done. He's only striking out 17 percent of the time as well, so there's a hint of a chance that Dozier could be a sleeper this season if he can keep the strikeout rate low and the power high. He's worth watching for now.
