Hyun-Jin Ryu Throws Off Flat Ground
6 years agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers could soon be getting completely healthy in the pitching rotation. Starting pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu, the club's Opening Day starter who suffered a groin injury recently, threw off flat ground on Wednesday. It was the first time he threw since injuring his groin on Monday against the St. Louis Cardinals. As a result, he was sent to the injured list for the eighth time in his career, but it could be a brief stay. Following Wednesday's successful session, the 32-year-old is next scheduled to throw again on Friday. Alongside Ryu, the Dodgers are poised to have their ace Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) return this week.
