Mitch Haniger Getting Tuesday Off
6 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Mitch Haniger will sit out Tuesday's game against the Kansas City Royals in what will be a routine day off. The 28-year-old has played in all 12 of his club's games thus far, hitting .255 with a pair of home runs and nine RBI thus far. With right field void Tuesday, the Mariners will slot Jay Bruce into the position, and he'll bat third against the right-hander. Last season, Haniger hit .285 in 157 games, smacking 26 home runs and driving in 93 runs.
